At CES, we have a General Handbook for the big stuff (like sick pay and holidays) and Role-Specific Handbooks (for Teachers, Social Leaders, or Admin) that dive into the day-to-day details of your specific role.

Because your contract says the handbook forms part of your agreement with CES, the handbooks are important documents. Make sure to read both the employee handbook and the one for your role before you sign so you know exactly what you're agreeing to!

Think of policies as the official ground rules for how we work at CES. While your contract is about your specific role, these policies explain everything else, from how to handle a sick day to what your rights are in the school. Companies use them to keep things fair and legal for everyone.

Before you start, there are a few must-reads you’ll need to sign off on to confirm you're up to speed but you don't need to read every single one (some might not apply to your role). However, it's a good idea to check out the ones that affect everyone—like our Health & Safety, AI, and Environmental Policies.

The most important thing is knowing the policies are always available when you need them.
