Think of the Payroll Team as the people behind the scenes making sure your hard work translates into a stress-free payday. They handle the "how" and "when" of your earnings.
Here’s a quick look at how they support you:
Getting You Paid: They calculate your earnings and ensure the correct amount lands in your bank account right on schedule.
Handling the Math: They manage the technical side of your pay, including tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions, so you stay compliant with HMRC.
Managing Your Benefits: If you have any workplace benefits or specific deductions (like student loans), Payroll ensures these are processed accurately each month.
Your Financial Records: They provide your payslips and annual tax documents (P60s), which are essential for your personal records or when applying for things like a mortgage or a new flat.
Need a hand? If you change your bank details, have a question about your tax code, or just need help understanding your payslip, the Payroll team is your go-to contact!
At CES, we use Moorepay to manage your salary and financial documents. Follow this guide to get set up:
Once you complete your onboarding documents, we will add you to the payroll system.
You will receive an activation email from Moorepay; please follow the link as soon as possible, as the window to join is short.
Missed the window? Don't worry—just click "Forgotten Password" on the login page and enter your email address to gain access.

For the best experience, we recommend downloading the Moorepay app to your smartphone.
It is the most efficient way to view your details on the go.
Payslips: You will find these under the ‘My Documents’ section in the app.
Notifications: We pay all employees on the last Friday of the month, and you'll get an email alert the moment your payslip is ready to view.
Annual Forms: This is also where you will access yearly tax documents, such as your P60.
If you are joining us on a short-term summer contract, it is a great idea to download and save copies of your payslips for your future records before your contract ends.
To ensure you are paid accurately and on time, it is essential to stay on top of your monthly timesheets. A timesheet is simply the official record of the hours you’ve worked, which our Finance team uses to calculate your salary each month.
How it works:
Your Manager’s Role: Every month, your line manager will send you your timesheet and confirm the submission deadline.
Support for New Starters: Don’t worry if you haven't done this before—your manager will walk you through the form the first time to make sure you’re comfortable with the process.
The Goal: By filling out the form carefully and following the instructions, you help the team process everything smoothly.
Why accuracy and deadlines matter: Our Payroll team processes hundreds of employees every month. When a timesheet is late or contains errors, it creates a significant amount of manual work for your manager and the Finance team. Most importantly, it puts you at risk of being paid incorrectly or experiencing a delay in receiving your salary.
Ultimately, while we are here to support you, submitting an accurate timesheet on time is an individual responsibility. Taking a few extra minutes to get this right ensures that payday is a success for everyone!
