Your line manager should have sent you your contract, which includes your start date, salary, and outlines your responsibilities and entitlements as a CES employee.
Make sure to sign it and send it back to your line manager before moving on to the next step.
We do a DBS check to help keep our students and staff safe. It shows whether someone has a criminal record or is barred from working with these groups, so we can make sure we’re hiring safely.
You won’t be able to start work until your DBS check is cleared, so it’s important to get it started as soon as possible.
This video will guide you through the process and help you complete the online form correctly.
You don't need to do anything until your manager initiates the process and you receive the form to complete from Civil & Corporate, the external company CES uses to process the DBS applications.
Step 1 - Complete the online form
Step 2 - Provide the original documents for identification to your line manager
See our DBS page for the document options
Step 3 Wait for your DBS to process
Step 4 - When you receive the certificate, show it to your line manager.
